About Us

Dance Explosion School of Performing Arts, abbreviated as DESPA, is the newest dance studio of the triad. It cut it's ribbon on August 2nd, 2014 and opened it's doors to students and dancers with dreams that are to be achieved in great heights. As of November 2014, the dance studio became a non-profit organization, allowing all lovers of dance to be able to reach their dreams while in their financial budget.

 

The dance faculty of DESPA have all been trained in the art of classical ballet. Believe it or not, ballet is the foundation for multiple styles and can be beneficial to all dancers. This is why we offer ballet from our tiniest tots to our oldest dancers. All faculty members have been able to perform in professional and preprofessional works as well as recieved such training to allow your student to recieve the ultimate training to benefit them in where ever their dance journey decides to take them.

 

The classes that we offer are ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling (for younger dancers), acro (for older dancers), pre-pointe, pointe, musical theatre, contemporary, lyrical, as well as Zumba. These classes help dancers become well-rounded and will allow them to really explore the history of dance by submerging theirselves in not only these styles, but the subdivisions of each style as well.

We pride ourselves in being called a "home" for many dancers, students, and individuals and we hope that you are able to find your home with us as well.

 

Our goal is to have all dancers be able to excel in dance, no matter what their age or level in both skill/experience, we take pride in being able to encourage them to be their ultimate best.
